Rahul is a Senior Associate in the Disputes team at Khaitan’s Mumbai office and specializes in matters involving shipping and international trade. Rahul has done his Masters in International Maritime Law from Swansea University and graduated in 2017 with distinction.
Rahul has appeared on behalf of Shipowners, P&I Clubs, Charterers and cargo interests before various Indian High Courts and Tribunals in Charterparty and Bill of Lading disputes and cargo claims. Rahul also has extensive experience in dealing with admiralty matters under the Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Act, 2017. Before joining Khaitan, Rahul has previously worked with Bose & Mitra & Co (2018-2021) and with Sr Adv. V J Mathew in Cochin (2014-2015).
