Mark Davis is a Partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution department. He has a broad commercial contentious and non-contentious practice across a wide range of industry sectors, and particular experience in the shipping, shipbuilding, offshore, aviation and financial & professional services sectors.
He has conducted litigation cases before all divisions of the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council, and has represented clients involved in arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, LMAA, and UNCITRAL. He has conducted or overseen proceedings in many foreign jurisdictions including Brazil, Canada, China, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA.
Mark acted for AssetCo Plc in its successful auditors’ negligence claim against Grant Thornton UK LLP and is one of the leading lawyers practising in this area.
He has also acted for clients in share and asset sale and purchase transactions ranging in value from £100K to €500 million, and advises on diverse contractual issues.
He is the author of the first and second editions of Bareboat Charters and Refund Guarantees, both of which are the first published English law text books dedicated to these subjects.
Mark is recognised as a leading expert in Legal Business’ Legal Experts publications and acknowledged as one of the World’s leading litigation lawyers in Euromoney’s guide to “The World’s Leading Litigation Lawyers”.
He is also a CEDR accredited mediator and is a fluent German speaker.
Eleanor is a Managing Associate in the Commercial Litigation team.
She has experience advising on high value, multi-jurisdictional, complex commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, media and financial and professional services.
Lizzie Mude is an associate with experience advising on complex, often multijurisdictional, commercial disputes. She has recently advised on a number of high-profile auditor negligence and contentious insolvency claims. She also has experience acting on corporate investigations, shareholder and civil fraud disputes and shipping law matters.
Lizzie sits within the Commercial Litigation team, part of the wider Dispute Resolution department.
Tiffany Morgan is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation team.
Tiffany has experience acting on complex, high value, and often multijurisdictional, commercial disputes, with particular experience advising on high-profile professional negligence and contentious insolvency claims. She also has experience in shipping law matters, group actions, banking litigation and arbitration, involving a number of overseas jurisdictions such as Jersey, Hong Kong, BVI, Ukraine, Australia and the People’s Republic of China.

Leah Alpren-Waterman is a Managing Associate, Professional Support Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution department, focussing on Commercial Litigation, Insurance and International Arbitration.
She is a contributor to the first and second editions of “Commercial Litigation”, published by Sweet and Maxwell, as well as the second edition of “Advertising Law and Regulation”, published by Bloomsbury Professional. She has also written for a range of legal publications including Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law, Commercial Litigation Journal, Insurance Day and the IBA International Litigation Newsletter, and regularly delivers training, both internally and to clients. Leah is also a CEDR accredited mediator.
